Johnson is first-round Capital City leader

NASHVILLE — Audie Johnson is the first-round leader in the senior division of the Capital City Golf Association Open played Monday at McCabe.

Johnson, a former club pro at Lebanon Golf & Country Club who lives in Mt. Juliet, shot a 9-under 61 for a two-stroke lead.

Mt. Juliet’s Daryl Edens is in a four-way tie for 11th place nine strokes back with an even-par 70.

In the regular division, Mt. Juliet’s Loren Personett is in a three-way tie for eighth place with a 66, just two strokes behind a five-way tie for first.

Lebanon’s Austin Swafford is in a four-way tie for 15th with a 68. Mt. Juliet’s Ronnie Hickman shot a 71 and Lebanon’s Ryan Botts a 73.

The tournament will wrap up today.

Sloan aces HP No. 16

Jimmy Sloan sank a hole-in-one Saturday at Hunters Point’s No. 16 with a 7-iron.

Rhonda Sloan witnessed the ace.
