Hunter's tool box: The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency offers hunters detailed deer data which can be accessed through its website, tnwildlife.org

It can be opened by clicking on "Hunter's Tool Box" on the website, or reached by typing in those three key words.

The site displays the TWRA's detailed deer data, including county-by-county harvest numbers from last season -- broken down into buck/doe and antler/anterless columns -- checking stations, license agents, biological data.

Last season slightly more than 168,000 deer were taken in Tennessee, down from the 176,000 harvested in the 2013 season.

TWRA biologists believe the state's deer population has stabilized, and expect this season's numbers to be comparable to last year's.
