Special Olympics to hold “Welcome Back Social” July 27
Special Olympics of Wilson County will hold a “Welcome Back Social” for any athlete interested in participating in basketball, bocce ball or swimming from 2-4 p.m. July 27 at Don Fox Park. Wilson Central golf fundraising tournament July 31
Wilson Central’s golf program will hold its 10th annual fundraising tournament July 31 at Pine Creek. Shotgun start will be at 1:30 p.m. Entry fee is $65 per player or $260 per team of four. Checks should be made payable to Wilson Central Golf. Lunch and snacks will be provided throughout the round and door prizes will be given away at the conclusion. Call 477-3433 to enter a team.
CU football golf fundraiser Aug. 1
Cumberland’s football program will hold a golf fundraiser Aug. 1 at Pine Creek. Shotgun start will be at 2 p.m. with lunch served at noon. Registration and driving range will open at 12:30 p.m. Prizes and awards will be handed out immediately following the tournament. The field is open to the first 100 paid players. Cost is $125 per person and will included a goodie bag, on-course contests, prizes and awards. Sponsorships are available starting at $200. LGCC Men’s Invitational on Aug. 2-3
Lebanon Golf & Country Club will hold its 2014 Men’s Invitational Aug. 2-3. Entry fee is $125 per player, including practice rounds and lunch on Saturday. A $12 cart fee will be extra. Tee times will run from 8-9:30 a.m. and noon-2 p.m. Call 444-5010 for tee times.
Hunters Point 2-Man Scramble Aug. 2-3
The Hunters Point 2-Man Scramble will be held Aug. 2-3. Entry fee is $200 per team and will cover green fees for practice round and two tournament rounds. Carts are not included. Shotgun starts will be at 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. First-place finishers will win $1,000, followed by $500 for second place, $250 for third, $150 for fourth and $100 for fifth, based on a full field.
