Johnson leads after first round

FRANKLIN — Mt. Juliet’s Audie Johnson leads the National Car Rental Assistant Championships after one round Monday at Temple Hills Country Club.

Johnson, a former pro at Lebanon Golf & Country Club, shot a 4-under 68, showing consistency with 34s on each nines.

Lebanon’s Eric Angis is tied for fourth with an even-par 72.

The Tennessee PGA event will wrap up the tournament today.
