Wilson Central’s Ken Hammonds has been named Tennessee Assistant Coach of the Year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholastic Division. This is the third straight year a Central coach has been named Coach of the Year. Hammonds helped head coach John Kramer and the Wildcats finish second in the state duals for the second straight season with a 39-5 record. They also saw John Kramer [the head coach’s son] and Austin Richard win individual state championships last February, the first in program history.
