Former Mt. Juliet basketball standout John Mark Bell has signed with Tennessee Temple University.

The 6-foot-4 Bell, whose father Tim was an All-American at Trevecca, also considered the Trojans, where his sister, Britt, plays for the Lady Trojans, Milligan and Motlow State.

He averaged in double figures and was named to the District 9-AAA all-tournament team.

"John Mark is a great athlete and can do a lot of different things," said recently-hired Temple coach Daniel Prevett. "He has played different positions, and we will make use of his versatile abilities."
