It was technically a road game, but Winfree Bryant made itself at home – at home – Tuesday in a 56-0 win over Southside in middle school football.

Southside was the home team. But Wilson Central’s field, the Saints play their home games, was unavailable, so the game was moved to Winfree Bryant’s Leeville Pike facility.

The Aviators, who lost their season opener at home to Coffee County on Aug. 5, got their first win for new coach Jody Criswell.

No statistics were kept for the game. But Criswell said Reggie Morris probably rushed for more than 200 yards and Sean Raine for 100-plus.

Criswell also credited linemen Anthony Sharon and Kameron Davis and tight end/defensive end Alexander Hagerman for big games.

Winfree Bryant will play host to Macon County at 6:30 p.m. next Tuesday.
