Lebanon’s Econo Lodge participated in a national celebration of the 45th anniversary of the Econo Lodge brand.

Lebanon’s fire department provided a ladder truck for display, and the city of Lebanon supplied its distinctive Cedar City banner. Econo Lodge management and staff participated with smiles and a wave for the cameras. The pictures and video produced at the event were sent to Choice Hotels corporate headquarters in Rockville, Md. for use at its national convention in Las Vegas in May.

General Manager Brad Hood organized the local event, which included hors d’oeuvres and recognition of regular corporate guests at the hotel.

“A clean well-run economy hotel in Lebanon, such as the Econo Lodge, helps boost city tourism and hospitality tax revenues.” said Hood.

Lebanon’s Econo Lodge shines among the nation’s motels of that brand.  It is consistently ranked at the top of tripadvisor.com guest reviews of economy motels in the Wilson County area. Additionally, Lebanon Econo Lodge is a 2014 recipient of the Gold Award from Choice Hotels International. Only the top 10 percent high-performing properties are eligible for the recognition, and the Lebanon hotel was honored with several Gold Awards in past years.

The hotel is at 829 S. Cumberland St. at the northeast corner of Interstate 40 at exit 238.  It adjoins Taco Bell and Waffle House and can be reached at 615-444-1001.
