Even though spring has been a bit spotty of late, one sure sign of the season is right on time - the opening of the Lebanon Farmer's Market on South Maple Street.
Lebanon Commissioner of Public Works Jeff Baines said the market is now open.
"I'm not officially in charge of it, but I try to help all I can," he said. "It's open from dawn to dusk for anyone who wants to use it."
Each year the market, under covered pavilion, has fresh produce from local farms for sale. Baines' office said all nine spots under the shelter are spoken for, but other farmers with produce to sell usually park along the edge of the parking lot at the market to display and sell their offerings.
