HARTSVILLE — The battle of the Lebanon Kiwanis Little League was played in Hartsville on Tuesday night and the Gold run-ruled the Blue 13-0 in four innings.

The Gold scored 12 times in the third inning to break open a 1-0 game as they outhit the Blue 13-1.

McKane Everett pitched 2 1/3 innings for the win. Brock Gann led the offense with three RBI on two doubles. Mason Everett tripled and singled.

Both Lebanon teams fell into the loser's bracket Monday. The Gold lost to Gallatin 9-2 and the Blue fell to Smith County 9-1.

Rotary teams remain alive in Dixie districts

ASHLAND CITY — The Lebanon Rotary Nationals stayed alive in the Dixie Youth district tournament Tuesday with an 11-8 win over host Ashland City.

Afterward, the Lebanon Gold also advanced with a 12-4 rout of East Robertson.

The Nationals fell into the loser's bracket late Monday with a 13-3 loss to Greenbrier.

Lebanon spotted Ashland City two runs in the top of the first inning before the Nationals scored in all five of their at bats on eight hits to hand Riley Hines the win.

Matthew Winfree had a pair of doubles among his three hits, driving in three runs. Addison Clinton collected two RBI as the Nationals advanced to a 6 p.m. game today.

The cleat was on the opposite foot Monday as Lebanon jumped to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first before Greenbrier blew the game open with eight in the bottom half to pin the loss on Ben Vance, who drove in two of the Nationals' runs on a double. Braden Reece had the other RBI and Ryan Jackson doubled.

Lebanon's Gold scored single runs in the first two innings and built a 4-1 lead in the third. They broke the game open with three scores in the fifth and five in the sixth.

Matthew Jenkinson doubled as he and Luke Bradshaw each drove in three Lebanon runs. Cole Ferguson also doubled as he and Jeremiah Hastings knocked in a pair of scores apiece.

Hastings pitched four innings for the win as Lebanon outhit East Robertson 12-4.
