From staff reports

G.W. Kemp of Lebanon won the Cedar City Bass Anglers' fifth, and final, regular-season tournament of the season a couple of weeks ago on Old Hickory Lake out of Flippers Bait and Tackle.

Dealing with a large amount of Fourth of July weekend boat traffic, light wind, 82-degree water temperature and stained water clarity, Kemp reeled in five fish weighing 14.61 pounds, including the 4.96-pound big fish, fished downlake using crankbaits. It was Kemp's first CCBA victory and he pocketed $700.

Daniel Johnson finished in a tie for second place in the points championship with a runner-up finish here, catching five fish weighing 13.38 pounds using a Carolina rig uplake to earn $300.

Corey Steakley of Lebanon was third with five fish weighing 10.92 pounds caught around Station Camp flipping plastics. His seventh top-five finish earned him $150.

Brad Young of Lebanon finished fourth with five fish weighing 9.99 pounds caught downlake using plastic baits to win a $100 gift pack.

Daniel Reasonover of Lebanon was fifth with five fish weighing 9.67 pounds.

CCBA's next event will be its open invitational July 30 under the stars on Old Hickory Lake.
