CU will honor the 1993 football team on Oct. 5 on the 20th anniversary of the program’s only NAIA playoff appearance.

Thank-a-Teacher Day for the home opener on Sept. 28 will be coordinated through the School of Humanities, Education and the Arts and recognize all Cumberland-educated teachers. Pregame tailgating activities will take place and all attendees will be honored at halftime of the game versus Bluefield.

CU football will honor the 1993 team before the Oct. 5 contest against Pikeville as part of Champions Day. Homecoming and Hall of Fame Weekend will take place the following weekend, with the annual Hall of Fame dinner set for Friday, Oct. 11. Those former athletes and/or coaches will be honored during the game on Oct. 12 along with the traditional crowning of the homecoming king and queen versus Union College.
