A vehicle hit a brick mailbox Friday morning on N. Cumberland Street in Lebanon and caused traffic to back up as emergency crews worked to clear the road.

The wreck happened at about 8:30 a.m. at the entrance to Hunter's Point Golf Club.

Police said a 2012 Honda Odyssey, driven by Leonard Challenger, 18, of Gallatin, was traveling south when he left the road and hit the golf club's brick column mailbox. His mother, Rosemary Challenger, was a passenger in the van.

Wilson Emergency Management Agency paramedics responded to the scene, but no one was injured.

Police closed the southbound lane for about 45 minutes and directed traffic around the scene, which caused minor delays.
