An unidentified man apparently lost control of his pickup after hitting a guardrail and rolled several times before coming to rest in the median on Highway 109 near Wilson Central High School on Friday afternoon.
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said the incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. Prior to the wreck, Bowen said Tennessee Highway Patrol received a call about a reckless driver headed west on Interstate 40.
Bowen said the description of the reckless driver fit the description of the wrecked vehicle. He said the man was driving a Dodge pickup and was taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to Bowen, speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
Bowen said there were no traffic delays reported on Highway 109.
