Fair traffic backed up due to crash

A crash on Interstate 40 in Lebanon has traffic headed to the Wilson County Fair stalled Thursday evening.

A crash on Interstate 40 in Lebanon has traffic headed to the Wilson County Fair stalled Thursday evening.

According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, a vehicle overturned on I-40 at the 238 mile marker at about 3:40 p.m.

All roads leading to the fairgrounds are backed up at least half a mile in all directions due to the excess traffic from the I-40 crash. 

"Our officers are working diligently with the parking crews to make sure entry into the fairgrounds runs smoothly," Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said.
