Wilson County will likely see snow beginning Friday night and lasting through mid-morning Saturday.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Wilson County and other Middle Tennessee Counties to last from 9 p.m. this evening through 10 a.m. Saturday.

Forecasters expect about 1 inch of snow, mainly north of Interstate 40, with 1 to 2 inches accumulating near the Kentucky border. Most locations south of Interstate 40 will receive less than 1 inch of snow.

Most of the snow will fall in the late-night hours with temperatures in the 20s, so roads will become snow-covered and slick. The snow will taper off by 10 a.m. Saturday, and travel conditions should improve by Saturday afternoon with temperatures rising above freezing.
