The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for Wilson County and all of Middle Tennessee on Monday afternoon.
Forecasters said more heavy rain is in store for Wilson County, which will add to the rain that has already fallen Sunday night and most of Monday.
The anticipated periods of heavy rainfall could produce localized flash flooding, as well as river and stream flooding by Tuesday if not sooner, forecasters said. Another 1 inch to 2 inches of rain are possible.
The watch is expected to remain in effect until Tuesday evening.
