Weather service warns of strong storms

The National Weather Service issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Wilson, Davidson, Rutherford and Williamson Counties Thursday at about 7:50 p.m.

At 7:50 p.m., National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking strong thunderstorms near Nolensville and moving northeast at 25 miles per hour.

Meteorologists said the storm could include small hail and winds between 30 and 40 miles per hour.

People in and around Nolensville, La Vergne, Smyrna, Rural Hill, Gladeville and Cedars of Lebanon State Park should monitor the weather situation closely. Listen for possible warnings and be prepared to take appropriate action should severe weather threaten.
