Pumps for Paws, a fashion show event to benefit New Leash on Life, is set to take place Nov. 8 from 6-9 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre in Lebanon.

The Pink Cactus, a local boutique, is hosting the event, which will feature a fashion show and silent auction and all of the proceeds are set to go to New Leash on Life.

New Leash on Life is a local non-profit organization that serves the welfare of companion animals in the Wilson County community through shelter, placement, spaying/neutering, education and awareness.

The Pink Cactus owner Maci Archer said they had wanted to do fashion show for awhile and then thought it would be a great idea to sell tickets and have silent auction and make it all a “big fun event.”

“We wanted the proceeds to benefit somewhere local and we’re all animal lovers here so we chose New Leash on Life. We just love all they do,” Archer said.

Archer said general admission tickets are $10 and are available at The Pink Cactus. If available, some tickets may be sold at the door the night of the event. The event also offers VIP tickets for $20, which includes admission, a goody bag, champagne and a seat by the runway. Archer said only a handful of VIP tickets were left.

According to Archer there is set to be 15 models in the fashion show that will model 50-60 outfits of the latest fashions from The Pink Cactus.

The fashion show is set to begin at 6 p.m. and a silent auction would follow.

Archer said though they were hosting the event, numerous local merchants had donated items for the event and auction to make it possible.

The Capitol Theatre will also be opening up their concession stand for refreshments.
