Wilson County Place to Be will have a Lunch and Learn to go over volunteer opportunities locally with the mission to create a volunteer database.

The Lunch and Learn will be Tuesday at noon at the Veterans Building at Fiddlers Grove at the Wilson County Fairgrounds.

“Volunteering is a great way to become involved with the community, and many local organizations need help,” said Historic Wilson director Kim Parks, who serves on the Wilson County Place to Be board. “There are many ways to lend a hand.”

Wilson County Place to Be recently teamed with Leadership Wilson to create a “Hands on Wilson” database for connecting volunteers to local groups in need of help.

Wilson County Place to Be invites anyone interested in learning more on the volunteering opportunities in Wilson County to be a guest at the Lunch and Learn.

To attend, RSVP to Camille Burdine at 615-547-1241.

“Come join us and learn how your time can be turned into a fulfilling accomplishment for yourself and the community,” Parks said.
