Wilson One met at the home of member Judy Cox for its December meeting. There were 38 members present.

Cox opened her home to members as she had prepared lunch enjoyed by all in attendance. After lunch, members played Dirty Santa, which always generates a lot of excitement.

The meeting was opened with an inspirational scripture and reciting of the Lord’s Prayer led by Jeannie Atwood, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The 2014 officers were installed and sworn in by Marie Farley.

The purpose of Wilson One is to focus on the enablement of working individuals paid or non-paid, from all walks of life in Wilson County; to provide networking, business and volunteer opportunities; to provide education through informative programs and guest speakers; to promote local, civic interests, as determined by the association membership; and to encourage community organization and involvement.

The December project each year is “Christmas for All”, as each member brings an unwrapped toy to give toward sharing hearts and love with children who may not otherwise receive one.
