Sherry’s Run issues challenge to ‘paint the town green’

Lime green bows are beginning to pop up on cars, mailboxes and business all across Wilson County from supporters of Sherry’s Run. 

Green bows are now on sale for $10 each to be displayed on houses, mailboxes, cars, businesses or churches.

The bows may be purchased when registering for the 11th annual Sherry’s Run either online at sherrysrun.org or by paper registration form available at any Wilson Bank & Trust branch. 

“Paint the Town Green” bow order forms, also available at sherrysrun.org, by calling 615-925-2592 or by emailing info@sherrysrun.org, may also be mailed to the Sherry’s Run office at 110 Babb Drive in Lebanon. 

Green Bows may also be picked up at the Sherry’s Run office:

• Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. 

• Aug. 26 from 4-6:00 p.m. 

• Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• Sept. 9 from 4-6 p.m.

Bows may also be picked up at the event site at 623 W. Main St. in Lebanon:

• Sept. 11 from 11 until 7 p.m.

• Sept. 12 from 11 until 7 p.m.

• Sept. 13 from 6:30-8 a.m.

All of the proceeds from the purchase of green bows will remain in Wilson County and surrounding communities to help people fighting cancer.

The 11th annual Sherry’s Run will be Sept. 13 at 8 a.m. at 623 W. Main St. in Lebanon. Registration is currently open at sherrysrun.org.

Support allows Sherry’s Run to assist cancer patients 52 weeks a year with gas, groceries, utility bills, housing payments, prescription assistance, health insurance premiums, medical bills and colonoscopy assistance.
