CITY OF LEBANON, TENNESSEE INVITATION TO BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF PROPOSED WATER/SEWER OPERATIONS BUILDING (CITY OF LEBANON PROJECT NO. CL08-013) RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS Separate sealed proposals for the construction of the Proposed Water/Sewer Operations Building, Project No. CL08-013 are invited and will be received at the office of the Lebanon Engineering director of Capital Projects, 200 North Castle Heights Avenue, Lebanon, Tennessee 37087, on or before, but no later than 2:00 p.m. (local time), on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, and immediately thereafter all bids will be publicly opened and the bids read aloud. Each Bidder shall note that any request for interpretation regarding the plans, specifications or other bidding documents shall be received at least five (5) days prior (August 15, 2014 at 2:00 p.m.) to the dated fixed for the opening of bids. Sealed envelopes or packages containing proposals shall be marked or endorsed Proposal for the City of Lebanon, Tennessee Department of Public Works, Proposed Water/Sewer Operations Building, Project No. CL08-013. No proposal will be considered unless it is made on the proposal form, which is included in the Contract Documents. The proposal must not be removed from the Contract Documents with which it has been bound by the City of Lebanon. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK The above designated construction work shall include the following described construction: 1. Site and Utility Work Includes all grading, clearing, excavation, borrow, crusher-run stone, rip-rap, asphalt paving, concrete apron, seeding, sidewalk, landscaping, drain lines, storm sewer, and all other work incidental to completing the site work for the site. 2. Operations Building Includes all materials, building, foundation, insulation, electrical, HVAC, floor finishes, painting, plumbing, and other work incidental to completing the Operations Building / Warehouse as shown on the plans. 3. Add Alternate No.1 - Truck Storage Building Includes Pre-Engineered Metal Building for VacTruck Storage, including all materials, building, concrete, erection, insulation, electrical, eating, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, painting and all other work incidental to completing the building as shown on the plans. 4. All utility work (for water, sewer, and gas) for line extensions will be done by the City of Lebanon. The Contractor will connect to the lines installed by the City a minimum of 5 feet outside the building(s). All work must be performed in accordance with and as provided in the Contract Documents, which are on file at the Office of the Engineer, 200 Castle Heights Avenue North, Suite 300, Lebanon, Tennessee 37087. Plans and specifications for this project were prepared by Warren and Associates Engineering, PLLC. Copies may be obtained from the office of Warren and Associates Engineering, PLLC, 109 Pennsylvania Avenue, Lebanon, Tennessee 37087 (Telephone: 615-444-2296; Fax: 615-444-2961) for a non-refundable fee of $200.00 per set. Subject to the provisions of Chapter 6 of Title 62 of the Tennessee codes Annotated, the contractor's attention is directed to the Tennessee Codes Annotated Section 62-6-119 which states that it will be necessary for each bidder and their subcontractors to show evidence of a license before his bid will be considered and that the license number, expiration date, and that part of classification applying to the bid appear on the envelope containing the bid; otherwise the bid shall not be opened. The City of Lebanon reserves the right to reject any proposal or waive any informalities at its discretion. The City of Lebanon further reserves the right to reject all proposals.
