Commanders lose in close game Saturday

EAGLEVILLE — A last second shot gave Eagleville a 51-49 win over Friendship Christian's Lady Commanders Saturday.
"We played hard," Lady Commander coach Deanna Teeter said after her team fell to 6-6 on the season. "You hate to lose on a last second shot."
Friendship held the lead 20-17 after the first qurater and opened up a 33-25 lead entering halftime.
The momentum carried into the final period before Eagleville began to make a comeback. Missed free throws were a big factor. The Lady Commanders converted only 10 of 21 from the foul line.
"That doesn't help you win games," Teeter said.
Leading the way forFriendship were Katy Vaughan and Carly Warmath with 13 points each. Lindsay Farmer added 11 points, Jessi Couch six, Gabbie Lowe four and Lacey Farmer two.
Kendra Harrell put in 13 points to lead Eagleville.
The Lady Commanders host Watertown at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Lady Saints of Mt. Juliet Christian defeated Webb School 35-14 Saturday to move to 7-6 for the season.
Mt. Juliet Christian's defense held Webb scoreless in the second and third quarters and forced 31 turnovers.
Ashley Hudson fired in 10 points for the Lady Saints. Paige Hudson added five including a 3-pointer, Holly Morgan and Christine Humes each put in five, Anna Haley added four and Lauren Bean three.
Mt. Juliet Christian travels to Gordonsville Monday.
