CU men take a loss on the road
HENDERSON — The Bulldogs of Cumberland University suffered an 87-60 defeat against Freed-Hardeman Saturday.
Cumberland was outshot 51-percent to 33-percent in the first half as Freed-Hardeman took the lead 45-28.
The shooting did not improve for the Bulldogs in the second half. Cumberland also commited 14 turnovers in the contest.
Shun Trevillian led all scorers with 25 points for the Lions.
Maurice Johnson, Thomas Douglas and Kevin Buford each put in 10 points to lead the Bulldogs. Brondon Oldham added nine, Desmond Rhodes and Joseph Northington tossed in six, Aurimas Silys knocked in five and Channing Tucker and Steven Jamison added two apiece.
