CU rallies in 9th to beat Lee 7-6

CLEVELAND — Cumberland scored four times in the top of the ninth inning Tuesday to complete a comeback from a six-run deficit to douse No. 6 Lee 7-6.
Jason Bush's two-run single put Cumberland ahead after Clint Alexander tripled in two scores earlier in the inning. They and James Lilley each had two hits as the Bulldogs banged out nine safeties.
Aaron Tant pitched 6 2/3 innings of relief to bring his record to 2-1 and Cumberland's to 24-13-1. The right-hander allowed a run on five hits and no walks while striking out five. Starter Myles Anderson left during Lee's four-run third inning as the Flames went up 6-0.
Tony Perez's two-run homer put Lee [29-10] on the board in the second.
Cumberland will return to Woody Hunt Stadium for today's 2 p.m. game against Spalding.
