CU travels to Union, Ky., for super regional

Cumberland's trip to a possible fourth straight NAIA World Series appearance will go through Barbourville, Ky., as the Bulldogs take on Union College in the South Central Super Regional later this week.
Region XI-champion Cumberland will take on Region XII-upset winner Union in a battle of the Bulldogs at 2:30 p.m. CDT Friday and Saturday and, if necessary, 1 p.m. Saturday at Carey Stadium on the Union campus.
After receiving a scant one vote in the NAIA poll less than a month ago, the Bulldogs have rocketed to No. 11 with a 46-18-1 record. Union is unranked and reached the super regional by upsetting No. 7 Tennessee Wesleyan in the regional.
The winner of the super regional will advance to the World Series in Lewiston, Idaho.
