Eight is great for MJC girls

MT. JULIET — Mt. Juliet Christian's Lady Saints defeated Lancaster Christian 48-8 to improve to 9-7 on the season Saturday.
The Lady Saints held Lancaster to just 2 points in the first period of play and charged ahead 19-2.
By the end of the first half the margin stood at 28-5.
Leading the charge for the Lady Saints was Paige Hudson with 12 points. Holly Morgan and Ashley Hudson each put in eight points, Callie Beard and Christine Humes seven apiece, and Lauren Bean, Anna Haley and Kristin Tewmey all had two.
