The Wilson County Community Help Center announced new hours of operation. In an effort to better serve the community, the agency store will now be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Joy Church in Mt. Juliet held its Joy To Go mobile kitchen Aug. 16. The church served more than 400 people a free meal during the three-hour event. The church also gave away free gas cards.

On Aug. 3, about 50 students and 50 family members came together at Dowell Chapel United Methodist Church in Watertown for a church sponsored Back to School Assistance Program. Backpacks were provided free to every student.
