NASHVILLE – The Nashville Rescue Mission seeks to provide the hungry and homeless in Middle Tennessee a traditional Easter meal, including ham, green beans, potatoes, rolls and pie during the holiday weekend.
Pickett Rucker UMC will celebrate its 148th Church Anniversary/Homecoming on March 30 with the theme “Pressing Toward the Mark.” Services will be held at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Stephen Handy.
Morris Anderson, a big game hunter and fishermen, will be the featured speaker under a big tent Saturday at 4 p.m. on the property of Silver Springs Baptist Church on Lebanon Road at Benders Ferry in Mt. Juliet.
March 21 is “World Down Syndrome Day.” I wasn’t even aware of this annual observance until I saw many posts on Facebook on that day one year ago. I was surprised…but then again I wasn’t, because there are so many aspects of raising a child with Down syndrome that are surprising.
