FCS' Waynick finishes 5th at State Meet

CHATTANOOGA — Friendship Christian junior G.L. Waynick finished fifth in the TSSAA State Wrestling Tournament's 285-pound division Friday when he pinned Knoxville Halls' Caleb Leonard in 3:20.
Earlier at UT-Chattanooga's McKenzie Arena, Waynick dropped an 8-2 decision to Antioch's Trent Gibbs in the consolation semifinals.
Waynick finished sixth in the State last year.
