Wilson County Director of Schools Mike Davis expects Monday's Board of Education meeting to be pretty routine.

"I'm not expecting any fireworks at the meeting," Davis said. "But you know how our board meetings are."

Of interest to many in the county, the board will take up a request from the Wilson County Commission for the system to foot the cost of four of the eight new school resource officers approved by the commission. When the commission approved the measure, it was with the caveat the school board be asked to contribute.
