Wind advisory extended for Wilson County

The National Weather Service extended a wind advisory until Friday at 1 a.m. for Wilson County and across Middle Tennessee. 

Forecasters said a significant storm system is expected to move out of the plains and into the Great Lakes on Thursday. Strong south winds are expected to develop ahead of the system across Middle Tennessee on Thursday afternoon and evening. Winds are expected to be between 20 mph-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.
