The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory Sunday until midnight as a line of storms is expected to arrive in Wilson County and Middle Tennessee.
According to Capt. Steve Spencer, meteorologist with Wilson Emergency Management Agency, a 2 p.m. weather briefing indicated a greater tornado threat remains north of Wilson County from Kentucky through the Midwest.
He said enough instability remains in Wilson County, however, to support strong storms with damaging straightline winds ahead of the mainline of the front, which should pass through Sunday after dusk.
Spencer said the WEMA weather team would monitor conditions Sunday evening.
