Wilson County can expect some seriously cold temperatures in the coming days.

According to Steve Spencer with Wilson Emergency Management Agency, an arctic cold front will make its way into the area late Saturday night and into Sunday. Rain is expected to change to snow and 1-3 inches could fall on Sunday.

Behind the front, the coldest air in 20 years will move in and last through Tuesday.

Slick roads are expected on Sunday due to snowfall.

Highs are expected to barely reach single digits on Monday, which will be the coldest since 1994. Wind chills could be as low as -15 on Sunday and Monday nights.

The forecast calls for a possible rebound of temperatures into the 40s by Friday.
