Fewer than two months remain for anyone to enroll in affordable private health care coverage for 2014 under the Affordable Health Care Act to avoid penalty.

Those who make between $22 per hour and minimum wage are invited to an information session Sunday from 12:30-2 p.m. at the St. Stephen Catholic Community family center at 14544 Lebanon Road in Old Hickory.

Volunteers who work with the Nashville mayor’s office, Family and Children’s Services, Matthew Walker and UN Health Centers will provide general information and one-on-one assistance to enroll online at healthcare.gov in a program tailored to personal circumstances.  Enrollment by telephone is also available at 800-318-2596.

Sunday’s information session is a collaborative effort of Baptist Healing Trust, HCA Foundation, Nashville mayor’s office, Family and Children’s Services, Enroll America, Seedco, Tennessee Primary Care Association and the Tennessee Health Care Campaign.

Enrollment for 2014 ends March 31. For 2015 coverage, another enrollment period will open in the fall.
