Afternoon forecast: Snow chance remains

A 50-percent chance of rain and snow is expected Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies will be cloudy with a high near 36 degrees and calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph. A total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of less than ½ inch is possible.

A 40-percent chance of snow is forecast before midnight. Skies will be cloudy with some clearing Wednesday night and a low around 23 degrees. Winds will be from the north-northwest around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight. Little or no snow accumulation is expected Wednesday night.
