Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church will play host to a bell choir concert, featuring Christian music from some special guests, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.
Ascension Ringers Handbell Choir from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill., is a 16-member ensemble, which primarily plays for worship services on campus and special events.
Its program at Faith Lutheran will include traditional music and such titles as “I Saw Three Ships,” “Everlasting Light” and “I’ll Fly Away.” The group plans to make a stop in Lebanon on its way to a national festival in Knoxville.
Larry B. Peterson, director of music for campus ministries and instructor of organ in the department of music, directs the Ascension Ringers. Peterson has a bachelor’s degree in organ performance from Augustana College and a master’s degree in organ performance from Eastman School of Music.
