Afternoon forecast: Rain to continue

Expect showers and colder temperatures moving in Wednesday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

A 70-percent chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm is expected. Skies will be mostly cloudy with temperatures falling to around 41 degrees by 5 p.m. A wind advisory remains in effect until 7 p.m. with southwest winds at 15 mph-20 mph becoming west between 25 mph-30 mph in the afternoon. Wind gusts could be as high as 40 mph.

Wednesday night is expected to be partly cloudy with a low around 24 degrees and north-northwest winds between 15 mph-20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph.
