Cumberland University announced June 7 will be the date for the 31st annual Phoenix Ball.
The elegant spring affair will feature a cocktail reception and silent auction in historic Baird Chapel with live auction, fine dining and dancing to the Pat Patrick Band in a transformed Dallas Floyd Recreation Center.
Wilson County’s only black-tie fundraising gala, the 2014 Phoenix Ball will feature opportunity to mix and mingle with the region’s most accomplished community and business leaders, as well as an impressive list of Cumberland alumni and local philanthropists.
Through the years, the ball has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support of Cumberland’s deserving students. This year’s gala will directly benefit the university’s athletic programs, which have taken on even greater significance as the university prepares for its move to the NCAA.
Held two days prior to the ball, June 5, the 2014 Patrons’ Party will take place at the Lebanon home of Brandon and Linlee Allen. Open to ball guests, as well as those unable to attend the ball, this year’s Patrons’ Party will offer food and conversation and feature live music from the world famous Super T and the Tyrone Smith Revue.
More information about the ball and Patrons’ Party will be announced soon. For immediate assistance with tickets or to learn about sponsorship opportunities, visit the Phoenix Ball website at phoenixball.com or contact the office of advancement at 615-547-1269.
