McClain Christian Academy will hold its first Christian concert, Empowered.
McClain is known for “transforming Lebanon into a miniature Music City” when it brings its Music at the Mill to Lebanon each February.
Organizers said Empowered will be a night of empowering music and fellowship May 10 at Immanuel Baptist Church’s Life Center at 214 Castle Heights Ave. in Lebanon. Limited tickets are $25 and are available by calling 615-486-1058. Benefit proceeds go to McClain Christian Academy.
Empowered will feature Christian artist Matt Maher, popular for his songs, “And the People Said Amen” and “Lord I Need You.”
Also gracing the stage of the Life Center and singing their hit song, “Let Them See You” will be the JJ Weeks Band and Chris & Caleb will open the show with worship and songs of praise. Contemporary Christian radio network K-LOVE with its local station 97.1 will be onsite at 4:30 p.m. to play music for and games with audience members before the show begins at 6 p.m.
“McClain Christian Academy welcomes you to this event and to come see what it offers its families – a unique experience,” said principal Jen Whitener.
McClain Christian Acaemy is a small, nonprofit Category I school that provides many of the opportunities of much larger schools. With small class sizes, McClain’s teachers build an educational foundation that put Christ and family at the forefront.
McClain offers many extracurricular activities at the elementary, middle and high school levels. Athletics, such as basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, tennis and bowling, as well as drama, music and art, complete the school experience.
McClain is enrolling new pre-kindergarteners through seniors for the upcoming school year.
“It is through God’s empowering in us that we, in turn, empower our students academically, socially and spiritually,” Whitener said.
