Editor’s Note: The Church Calendar is for notices of special services, events and programs. Pleasant Grove Methodist Church will have a southern gospel singing July 12 at 6 p.m. Richard K. Gleaves will be the master of ceremonies and featured performing groups will be the Commonwealth Quartet and Fred VanHook & the Harmoneers. Admission is free, a love offering will be taken and refreshments will be provided. The church is located at 6485 Central Pike in Mt. Juliet.
Maple Hill Church of Christ
Maple Hill Church of Christ will have its annual giveaway July 12 from 7:30 a.m. until noon. Clothes of all sizes and ages, household items, shoes, toys, books, games, home décor, kitchen items, baby items and more will all be available. Everything is free and the event is like a giant yard sale. It is first come, first serve and will be held in the back in the Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 102 Maple Hill Road in Lebanon.
Macedonia Church will be selling fish sandwiches, corndogs, homemade ice cream and drinks at the church July 11-12 from noon until 7 p.m. The church is located at 521 S. Maple St. in Lebanon.
Westland United Methodist
Westland United Methodist will have Vacation Bible School themed “Bible Boot Camp Training” July 13-17 from 5:30 until 8 p.m. Sign up today at WestlandUMC.org. Volunteers are needed for VBS, as well as supplies. A VBS meeting will be held Sunday at 4:15 p.m. as a time of prayer and getting ready for VBS.
Dickerson Chapel will be celebrating the 11th anniversary of Pastor Jerome Stewart July 13. The 11 a.m. guest will be the Rev. Alton Pickett. The 3 p.m. guest will be Pastor Brooks and Laguardo M.B. Church. Everyone is inivited.
West Haven Baptist Church
The community is invited to join West Haven Baptist Church in worship on Sundays at 10 a.m. with Sunday School at 8:45 a.m. Classes are offered for all ages from newborns to seniors. Children’s ministry and nurseries are available, along with music, fellowship and exploring God’s word. Wednesday evening services for both adults and children begin at 6 p.m. The Caring Women’s Outreach still needs laundry detergent, dryer sheets, fabric softener, dish detergent and bar soap to share with those in need in Wilson County. First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church of Lebanon will be celebrating the fifth Sunday after Pentecost during worship service July 13. Each Sunday during July the church will have a single Sunday service instead of the usual two services. The church will meet for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and have a worship service in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. The 8:45 a.m. contemporary service and 11 a.m. traditional service schedule will resume Aug. 3. Beginning in August the church will offer Disciple I Class, an intense study of the Bible. This 34-week, video based Bible study course will meet each Monday night. Disciple I is the prerequisite for all other Disciple-based Bible studies and covers the entire Biblical story from Genesis through Revelation. Love’s Way Community Church
All is welcome to Love’s Way Community Church as interim Pastor Billy Jones will present a special message Sunday at 10 a.m. Praise and worship will be led by musician Bro. First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet
The community is invited to join First Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet July 13 as Pastor Andy Hale continues the sermon series in 1 Corinthians. West Hills Baptist Church
The community is invited to West Hills Baptist Church at 10:30 a.m. Sunday mornings. Children K-6 have their own worship time with Worship KidStyle in the chapel. During the morning worship time the church also provides an opportunity for preschool age children to experience a time of activity and Bible story each week. Discipleship classes are also offered Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. for all ages from preschool to adults with childcare provided. The youth meet at 5 p.m. for Bible study, fellowship, activity and missions. The Sunday evening service is at 6 p.m.
College Hills Church of Christ
This week at College Hills Church of Christ, Owen Mitchell from Family Dynamics International will be the guest preacher. Mitchell’s message is designed to strengthen and encourage marriages. He will speak at both the 8:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services. He will also teach a class on “Marital Communication” during the Bible class hour beginning at 10:15 a.m. in the auditorium.
Episcopal Church of the Epiphany
The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany will celebrate the fifth Sunday of Pentecost July 13. The community is invited to Christian education is at 9:15 a.m. and the 10:30 a.m. service. The Rev. Watertown First Presbyterian Church

Dowell Chapel United Methodist Church
Dowell Chapel United Methodist Church will be having homecoming July 13 at 2:30 p.m. Mt. Calvary from Madison Pastor Sandy McClain will be the pastor. Morning service will start at 11 a.m. The church is located at 107 Linwood Rd. in Watertown.
Maple Hill Church of Christ
Preaching minister Tim Parish will be speaking on the subject of “1+1= Matthew 5:31-32” this Sunday, July 13 at Maple Hill Church of Christ. Statesville Baptist Church
Women’s Day and Men’s Day will be celebrated at Statesville Baptist Church July 13. The day will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with the Pinnacle Life Christian Center and Pastor Felicia Butler and at 2 p.m. with New Beginning Baptist of Nashville and Pastor Carl Horton.
Fall Creek Baptist Church
Fall Creek Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School July 14-18 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The theme will be “Weird Animals, Where Jesus’ Love is One-of-a-Kind.” The church is located at 11535 Cainsville Rd. in Lebanon.
Fairview Missionary Baptist Church
The New Fairview Missionary Baptist Church-Rome will be having revival beginning July 16 thru 18 at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest evangelist is Brother Frank “Pee Wee” Carter. Carter is a native of Smith County. The community is invited to worship and the church is located off of Carthage Highway in the community of Rome at 20 Volunteer Circle. You can now preregister your kids for the Good vs. Evil Vacation Bible School. This VBS is for kids ages 3-12 years old and all children will get to be superheroes. There will be music, singing, dancing, puppets, funny characters, special effects, crafts, special super hero snacks, giant inflatables and more. A half-price sale featuring a truckload of new ladies summer clothing, jewelry and accessories will be available July 18-19 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Cornerstone General Baptist Church located at 1415 E. Broadway St. in Gallatin. The items were obtained from a boutique going out of business. Buyers pay one-half of the ticketed prices. PHOEBE Ministries, a ministry of widows connecting with widows, will meet July 26 at 9:30 a.m. at Round Lick Baptist Church in Watertown. All widows are welcome to attend. There will be a report from the mission team that went to Pigeon Forge to work with international students with Nations for Christ. Please bring school supplies to donate to homeless children who are starting back to school.
Generation Changers Church
A “We Love Lebanon Back-to-School day” will be held Aug. 2 from 12:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the lawn at Wilson Bank & Trust located at 1130 N. Castle Heights Ave. in Lebanon. The event will offer free backpack and school supply giveaways, as well as haircuts, dental screenings, face painting, inflatables and more. Free food will be provided with registration.
Immanuel Baptist Church
Immanuel Baptist Church will have its annual church picnic with music, food, fun and fellowship Aug. 3 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jimmy Floyd Center. A barbeque supper will be provided and the cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Every family may bring a dessert.
Disciples class meets each Monday at 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon for intense Bible study.
A knitting group meets each Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon to make items for the Veterans Affairs Hospital and Project Joy.
