Staff Reports • Jul 25, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Joseph’s Storehouse Food Ministry founder Bob Evans invited all the hungry families in Wilson County to come to the monthly food giveaway Saturday from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

“We have an abundance of fresh produce which has been donated to us, and we just don’t have enough room to keep it all,” Evans said. “Anyone who is interested in having some along with the other items should come on and be blessed.”

First-time applicants must be able to approve residency and income with the following: two forms of official documentation such as a Social Security card, USDA ID, a Tennessee driver’s license or other U.S. or Tennessee government ID card, etc.; proof of income for the past 6-12 months and; a utility bill showing current address.

Upon approval by the Joseph’s Storehouse staff, recipients will receive a Joseph’s Storehouse ID card which is valid for six months to receive food on an ongoing basis.

Volunteers are also needed and encouraged to help, and they should arrive between 8-8:15 a.m. If groups of more than six are planning to attend, they must call the office at 615-453-5777 or register on the ministry’s website in order to participate so that everyone will have something to do.

Donations may be mailed to Joseph’s Storehouse Food Ministry at 1960 S.E. Tater Peeler Rd., Lebanon, TN 37090. For more information visit loaejosephsstorehouse.org.
