Information may be submitted via the Internet at www.lebanondemocrat.com (click Community, select Community Calendar and choose either Church Calendar or Church Sermon as the category) up until 4 p.m. on Wednesdays before publication in Friday’s newspaper. Aug. 16

Project Linus Blanket Day

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church will be hosting a Project Lucas Blanket-making Day from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. All blankets made will be given to traumatized children. Anyone can help, even if you don’t have sewing experience. People will be available to show you how to sew or how you can help in other ways!  If possible, bring your sewing machine, yarn, supplies, etc. and enjoy some fun.  You can go for an hour or two, or take a lunch and stay all day.  Refreshments will be provided.

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church invites you to Worship this Sunday at 8:30 and 11 a.m. with Sunday School at 9:45. Visit the website lebanonfumc.com to read What Methodist Christians Believe. Watch YouTube videos of the sermons or read printed sermons on the website as well. The church observes communion every first and third Sunday. Golden Agers, meet every second Thursday from noon-2 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a short program and lunch. Game Day for all adults meets every fourth Thursday in the Fellowship Hall for games and fellowship. Love’s Way Community Church

Please join interim Pastor Billy Jones and the congregation at Love’s Way Community Church this Sunday at 10 a.m. for a special message. Praise and worship will be led by gifted musician Rick Brown and the Love’s Way Praise Band. Everyone is welcome. Children’s ministry is available. First Presbyterian Church

First Presbyterian Church of Lebanon will resume its two-service schedule Sunday with a contemporary service in the chapel 8:45 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Sunday School for all ages will meet at 9:45 a.m. Pastor Sherard Edington will be continuing his study of Galatians throughout Aug.. The church is offering a Disciple I Class, an intense study of the Bible. This 34-week, video based Bible study course will meet each Monday night at 6 p.m. Disciple I is the prerequisite for all other Disciple-based Bible studies and covers the entire Biblical story from Genesis through Revelation.
