There are still many cats and kittens looking for homes - Here are just two of our foster kittens still available. All our rescued cats and kittens are in foster homes where they learn to play and be with people. All cats and kittens are spayed, tested feline leukemia negative and current on shots before adoption. For info on this kitten and others, please call Annelise 615-449-3796 or Lorna 615-946-3643.

Meet Sonny - a champion biscuit maker. This sweetie is happy all the time - purring and looking to cuddle. He is about 12 weeks old - neutered, current on shots and leukemia negative. Sonny is one of the most loving kittens we have in foster care - call Lorna 615-946-3643 to meet “The Biscuit Maker.”

King is a very happy, friendly kitten - about 12 weeks old - neutered, current on shots and leukemia negative. He and his sister are in a foster home and having a wonderful time around other cats and dogs. They are happy to meet new people and King will adjust to a new home very easily. King’s sister is adopted - but King is still waiting for his family to find him. For info, contact Annelise 615-449-3796.

Please visit our website countryk9.petfinder.com or find us on Facebook at Country K-9 Rescue Adoptable Pets to see other available rescued pets. Our adoption fees are usually $100 for dogs and $50 for cats/kittens - all pets are fully vetted and healthy.

The meaning of the name Layla is ‘dark beauty’. That sure fits our Layla. This 18-month-old, 40 pound, black and white Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix came to New Leash on Life after being left on a door step when she was just a baby. She is a young lady but still has a lot of “puppy” in her. Layla just needs a playmate to burn off her happy energy as well as someone to take her on walks or jogs on trails. She would probably do best in a home without small children or even better, a home where she will be taught proper manners in the house – such as sit, stay, leave it and no jumping. After all, she’s still a puppy (ok well a young adult) and she needs to be taught all those things that will help her grow up and be a successful adult dog.

Layla needs a job – something that will burn up her energy and make her feel useful and needed. She just wants to please people. She is an affectionate dog who’s eager to love and be loved and she seems to see everyone as a new friend waiting to be made. So if you’re looking for a new best friend, come to the adoption center and meet Layla soon. She is spayed, micro-chipped and current on routine vaccinations. With an approved application, you can adopt her for $85. All New Leash on Life dogs must be adopted to families willing to have their pets be allowed inside-especially at night.

White mittens, brown and black stripes, and beautiful green eyes – that’s our Ramona. She is a 3 1/2 month old brown Tabby mix. She loves spending time with her litter mates – Oscar, Razzle and Dazzle. They came to New Leash on Life to find their forever inside homes. She enjoys being held and will purr when you scratch her head and chin. She likes snoozing in the cat tree and playing with the other kittens in our open cat room. Ramona is litter box trained and will be spayed, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations prior to adoption. Come and meet this beautiful girl and adopt her for $100 or consider adopting her with a litter mate for $150. Adoption Center Policy: All cats must be indoor only and shall not be declawed.

Not sure if you’re ready to commit to adoption? Ask about our 7-day Sleepover Program for dogs and cats. If you already have your limit of four-legged family members, please consider becoming a ‘Guardian’ to help homeless pets each month. Just visit newleashonline.org and click on Programs, then Guardian Guild for more information.
