Galea named TSC Player of the Month

Edgar Galea made it a clean sweep for Cumberland as he was named TranSouth Conference Male Player of the Month.
Earlier, freshman Emily Jacobs of Lebanon was named the Female Player of the Month.
Galea, a junior business major from Venezuela, has compiled an 8-0 record in singles and 7-1 in doubles with the only loss being a 9-7 decision at Austin Peay.
"Eddie is a guy we count on day in and day out to help lead this team and he is well deserving of this award," Cumberland coach Bill Riddle said.
The Bulldogs, who climbed to No. 10 in the most recent national poll, face an East Tennessee double header today with a morning match in Athens against Tennessee Wesleyan and a night set in Knoxville vs. Maryville. They will host 14 other teams in their Spring Fling Tournament next week at CU.
