McKendree slips by CU Bulldogs

The Bulldogs of Cumberland University lost to visiting No. 21 ranked McKendree College 82-78 in the Nationwide Classic at the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center Saturday.
The first half saw the two teams match up pretty evenly and the half ended with the score knotted at 39. McKendree managed to maintain a slight advantage to come out on top in the second.
McKendree's Mike Strobbe led all scorers with 29 points. Mark Stovall added 23, Eric Palm 13 and Nick Livas 10.
For Cumberland, DeCorey Young fired in 20 points, Thomas Douglas tossed in 16, Joseph Worthington 13, Rodney James nine, Channing Tucker eight, Aurimas Silys and and Maurice Johnson both had four, Desmond Rhodes three and Jason Langelier a free throw.
