Xavier Smith • Lebanon Democrat Members of the Mt. Juliet American Legion Tyler Cates Post 281 admire the Juliet Fire Department’s new Garrison flag Wednesday. The group started raising funds for the flag as a project and the department will display the flag during parades and events.
Veterans, city officials and excited citizens of all ages met at the Mt. Juliet train station Wednesday as the Fire Department of Mt. Juliet displayed its new Garrison flag for the first time.

Chuck Groover, Mt. Juliet Breakfast Rotary Club president, said Monday during the club’s 2015 Veterans Breakfast that women are now included in Veterans Day celebrations across the nation “because they have become such an integral part in all that takes place.”
