Representatives with the Mt. Juliet city manager’s office will be at the Mt. Juliet-West Wilson Chamber of Commerce office Aug. 6 from 8-9:30 a.m. to provide community updates and answer questions relating to city matters.
Juanita Johnson’s cottage in Lebanon got a spring makeover Thursday. Her abode was built 20 years ago and was the very first Habitat for Humanity house built in Wilson County. Hundreds have been built since by the non-profit that builds homes for those who need a hand-up.
MT. JULIET – A reality-based portrayal of a car crash and the subsequent response by first responders, emergency medical personnel and law enforcement will take place Thursday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Juliet High School.
Numerous roads are shut down Thursday morning in Mt. Juliet and police officials said “the city is practically shut down.” Mt. Juliet Police spokesman Tyler Chandler said there was a water rescue in progress on Beckwith Road with a man trapped in his car at 7:30 a.m.
“Ham” got a wild hair Wednesday and decided to make a break for greener pastures. His partner “Eggs” was left to look after their six piglets. The wanderer was a beloved pet potbelly pig and has a reputation for slipping out from under the watchful eyes of his owners who live on W. Division Street.
