Mt. Juliet Christian ties Greenbrier 1-1
MT. JULIET — Greenbrier and Mt. Juliet Christian battled to a 1-1 tie Tuesday.
After the Bobcats scored six minutes into the second half, Corey Wills headed a long Dylan Gammon throw in into the net to tie the score 10 minutes later.
"It was a very hard-fought game," Mt. Juliet Christian coach Lloyd Sharp said after his Saints moved to 2-2-2 for the season and 1-0-1 in District 8-A-AA. "It was by far the most physical game we've been a part of.
"It was very evenly matched."
Justin Branim totaled 10 saves for the Saints, who outshot the Bobcats 19-12.
Mt. Juliet Christian will host Metro Christian at 6 p.m. Friday.
