Dollie Marie Bass
Services for Ms. Bass will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Cedars of Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday at Disyal Funeral Home.
Ms. Bass, 45, of Hendersonville, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at Hendersonville Hospital.
She was preceded in death by brothers, David Milton and Bobby Fitzgerald Bass; and father, David L. Bass.
Survivors include: mother, Mamie Ruth Bass of Hendersonville; step-father, Henry Shaw of Hendersonville; daughter, DeKita Bass; sons, Jason and LaQuan Bass; sisters, Beverly Bass and Montrea Freeman; brother, Terry Bass; aunts, Billie (Stan) Strong, Carolyn (Eddie) Maynard, Christine (James) Beasley and Kathrine (Jason) Cason; and a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
Disyal Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Smith Jones
Funeral Mass for Mr. Jones will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5 at St. Henry Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Johnston celebrant. Interment will be 1 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at St Henry Catholic Church.
Mr. Jones, of Nashville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009. He was born in Columbia, Tenn. in 1932. He attended high school in Columbia, where he excelled in football and was awarded honorary AllState Status. He later attended Tennessee Tech University on a full football scholarship, and was a member of the team that played in the Tangerine Bowl. He majored in Industrial Engineering and graduated in 1955.
After college he joined the Army where he became a 1st Lieutenant. He received a Master’s degree from George Peabody Vanderbilt in 1957. In addition, he attended the Nashville School of Law prior to taking a job at the U. S. Patent office in Washington D.C. Throughout his life he worked as a developer, teacher and principal.
For the last 13 years of his career, he worked for the Department of Human Services in Lebanon. He resided in Cookeville for many years and moved to Nashville in 1996. He and his wife were members of St. Henry Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by parents, Edward and Marion Jones; and brothers, William L. and Clyde E. Jones.
Survivors include: wife of 31 years, Barbara Fleming Jones; brother, Donald Gray Jones of San Antonio, Texas; step-children, Les (Leah) Jones of Memphis and Sherry (Pat) Terry of Nashville; grandchildren, Patrick Wade and Anna Fleming Terry and Eleanor Louise and William Townes Jones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sick and Homebound at St. Henry Catholic Church or Amelia Fleming Medical Fund c/o Bethlehem UMC 2419 Bethlehem Loop Rd, Franklin Tenn. 37069.

Marilyn Elaine Nelson
Memorial services for Mrs. Nelson will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Nelson, 54, of Murfreesboro, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by father, Walter Lawrence; and brother, William Lawrence.
Survivors include: husband, Charles Nelson, mother, Annie Lawrence; mother-in-law, Mabel Nelson; children, Shawndale Lawrence and Chiquita and Charles Nelson; step-daughter, Charika Nelson, all of Murfreesboro; siblings, Diane, Jacqueline, Karen, Timothy, Kathy, Alice Faye, Ora Jean (Ray) Crockett, all of Murfreesboro; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Saddler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Dean Watkins
Services for Ms. Watkins will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5 at Market Street Church of Christ with Bro. David Meek officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. A family hour precedes the service Monday at the church.
Ms. Watkins, 85, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009 at University Medical Center.
Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Elsie Watkins; son-in-law, Clarence Crutchfield; grandchildren, Steve (Misty) Watkins, Belinda Boddie, Dr. Wendolyn (Dr. Charles) Bell, Tamolyn (Raymond) Stewart and Cecelia Crutchfield; great-grandchildren, Danyel, Preston, Christian, Lauren and Ives; great-great-granddaughter, Enyia; and a plethora of other relatives and friends.
Hellum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dwight Wilkerson
Services for Mr. Wilkerson will be 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2 at the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home. Interment will be in Leeville Cemetery.
Mr. Wilkerson, 63, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at his home. He was a Vietnam veteran. He was a graduate of University of Tennessee with a bachelors in Business Administration. He was a member of Smith Fork Baptist Church. He worked for the Tennessee Department of Corrections as a procurement officer for 31 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Gordon and Louise Holland Wilkerson.
Survivors include: sisters, Sandy (Melvin) Testamand of Lebanon and Linda Wilkerson of Leeville; and brothers, Gary (Kee) Wilkerson of Mt. Juliet and John and Joel Wilkerson, both of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Joe Cruz, David Silcox, Mike Smith, Jessie McElvie, Mark Arnett and Bill Crowe.
